Apalachee Elementary School
DAG has been involved in several improvement projects at Apalachee Elementary School. First, a major site redesign is adding a new cafetorium and simplifying parent and bus ingress and egress routes. The 15,000 SF cafetorium addition includes a stage, dining hall, kitchen and outdoor dining area. Three new intermediate classrooms are also being added for class size reduction purposes.
Second, work at the school’s Building One includes design of a new entryway featuring a stylized “loom” to reflect the school’s new identity as the Apalachee Tapestry Magnet School of the Arts. DAG is also renovating the primary and intermediate wings, remodeling the existing administrative area and media center, and adding a multipurpose music area, a primary classroom, and an intermediate classroom.
