The Modica Market Building is the second building constructed on the main square at Seaside.  It consists of The Modica Market, a market/deli run by the Modica family who moved their business  from Birmingham, and the Community Meeting Room.  The structure is steel frame with the exterior steel members coated with exposed marine grade galvanizing.  The Market has become a landmark at Seaside and is very popular for the variety of products as well as the deli foods prepared on site.  The Meeting Room, entered from the street at the rear of the structure, is the site for many types of meetings as well as arts performances.
