Chris Tyner, AIA, LEED AP
Associate Principal
Chris’ interest in architecture began in his youth, providing free labor for his engineer grandfather’s pet projects: setting concrete, laying stone landscape walls, and – his favorite – constructing treehouses. From these humble beginnings, he earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Southern Polytechnic State University, receiving the AIA Henry Adams Medal for academic excellence. Most recently, Chris worked with the Seattle office of Perkins + Will. Chris’s 21-year career includes leading the design of sports stadiums and team facilities, mixed-use multifamily high-rise, single-family residential, offices, a hospital, justice facility, and performing arts center. While his expansive project experience forms the backbone of his generalist strengths, he is also a LEED AP and RELi AP who is committed to sustainability, wellness, and resilience. He believes that successful architecture begins with robust relationships with owners, users, communities, and project teams.
