The new FSU Primary Health Center will provide a range of primary-care services not currently available in the area. The clinic will be served primarily by the FSU College of Medicine faculty members providing an opportunity to maintain their practice skills, get valuable interaction with patients and their families, as well as teach and mentor both medical and PA students in a clinical setting. The building will include 15 patient exam rooms, as well as rooms for behavioral health, health-procedure rooms, and a conference and community room. The community room will be used for seminars and health enrichment programs serving local residents. Directly adjacent to the building is the covered ambulance bay allowing for the pick-up and transportation of patients with medical emergencies to one of the Tallahassee hospitals.
