Owen Gipson, AIA
Principal
Owen joined DAG in 2005 and was named a Principal in 2019. A 1988 graduate from Florida A&M with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, he has dedicated his career to providing unique solutions to oftentimes complicated issues which arise during the design and construction phases of a project. Generally recognized as a good listener, Owen takes pride in asking the right questions at the right time in order to bring the client’s vision to life.
Owen thinks of architecture as a new way of looking at the world as he relies heavily on his skill of sketching details of a project to illustrate solutions. Throughout his career, Owen has encouraged his team members to place great emphasis on the documents created. With a philosophy that after all the questions have been asked and the solutions offered, it’s the documents that provide for the strongest communication tool connecting the process of design to the built environment.
