Rex Medical

This master-planned and designed five-story, 103,000 SF Class-A medical office building is located on Rex Hospital’s main campus. Site restrictions that were solved included topographical change, minimal buildable area, and multiple access issues. A fully conditioned connection from the medical office building to the hospital birthing center provided an easier access for patients and physicians. Circulation from an existing parking deck was improved by the redesign. Programmed medical practices include cardiology, dermatology, family practice, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology (retina), pediatrics (including UNC specialists), phlebotomy, plastic surgery, spinal care, and ultrasound.
