Shelter Cove Town Centre is a 42-acre redevelopment consisting of more than 270,000 square feet of retail space, 240 luxury waterfront apartments, and a seven-acre linear park. This “de-malling” project was reimagined with the demolition of an enclosed single-level mall and one of the three anchor tenants, transforming the former mall into a mixed-use development of shops, restaurants, and residences overlooking Broad Creek on Hilton Head Island. Shelter Cove Town Centre is now a unique upscale walking destination, fashioned after a southern fishing village. With a vibrant shopping destination providing both residents and the 2.5 million visitors that vacation in the area yearly with a unique outdoor shopping experience in an open, park-like atmosphere. With attention to the heritage of Hilton Head, indigenous colors and materials complement the project.
