Pen Air Federal Credit Union, Airport Road Branch
Pen Air Federal Credit Union has strategically been locating facilities in locations with high visibility to raise community awareness of the brand. In an effort to consolidate functions and locate a branch credit union in a desirable location, they purchased an existing building on Airport Road in a highly trafficked area.
The abandoned 19,000 SF 3-story building was formerly a bank with numerous water intrusion issues. To properly correct the issues and communicate their new branding, selective demolition gutted the building down to just the structure. New curtainwall and storefront facade, roof, HVAC, restroom upgrades, offices, and finishes now make this building look like a new facility.
The style and customer service that PenAir delivers begged for a design that would break the mold of traditional banking. By removing the glass partitions that separate customers and their bank representatives, and creating a space that feels more like the lounge area of your favorite hotel, this new Airport Road branch incorporates contemporary comfort into a typically sterile environment.
