Government contractor, ARETE, purchased an existing warehouse building that was previously used for offsite file storage. The 18,000 SF two-story building was completely renovated. Due to the nature of their work, the client needed an office building that was not only soundproof but easily adaptable to their requirements. Working in some places with height limitations, the design team added an elevator and located the offices around the perimeter of the building on the second floor. This solution allowed the main floor to be lab space, meeting rooms and a large research and development space.
